Building Your First License

by Greg Lozoff

We know how frustrating it can be when you want to license a pre-cleared song online, only to find out after entering all your information that you will have to wait to receive a quote by email within the next 48 hours. That’s why we made sure everything on Bopper is actually pre-cleared, and you can price out every track we offer, within seconds.

Here’s a quick guide on how to build a license on Bopper:

? Step 1 – Choose Your Media

The first thing you’ll be asked is to select the media on which your content will appear. Our license builder is designed to be as flexible and comprehensive as possible, but if you don’t see your media on the list, feel free to contact us. Check out the chart below to see all the media we cover.

? Step 2 – Select Your Campaign Duration

We cover everything from one week to perpetuity. Keep in mind that all web licences come with archival rights attached, in perpetuity, so you only need to select how long your paid campaign will run. And you don’t need to worry about taking your content offline when the campaign ends. Read more about our archival rights policy here.

? 3 – Select The Amount Of Films You’re Producing

This one’s pretty simple. Simply select how many films will be a part of your campaign. Keep in mind that all cut-downs are included. So don’t count your :30 and :15 cut-downs as films. Only consider films with unique footage as individual films.

? Step 4 – Choose Your Territory

If you are licensing for the web, select the location where the production stems from. And keep in mind, all web licenses are valid for the world. If you’re licensing for TV or radio, select the territory, territories or region in which you will be broadcasting. Here’s a full list of the regions we license to. For industrial and closed circuit licenses you’ll be asked to select the approximate audience size that will view your content.

Once you save your terms, you’ll see prices across the site on every track. What are you waiting for? Start browsing.
